How to Stop "Feeling Behind" & Comparing Yourself to Others [4 Seasons of Growth]

Let's first start off with Seasons.⁣⁣

As someone who has coached over 100+ entrepreneurs around mindset and business growth

There is 4 Essential Season that life and business fall into:

[+] Fall, the Season for Pʟᴀɴᴛɪɴɢ⁣⁣

[+] Spring, the Season for Tᴇɴᴅɪɴɢ⁣⁣

[+] Summer, the Season for Rᴇᴀᴘɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ Hᴀʀᴠᴇsᴛ⁣⁣

[+] Winter, the Season for Rᴇsᴛɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ Gʀᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴀɴᴅ Sᴛᴀʀᴛɪɴɢ Oᴠᴇʀ"

The key is to be aware of the season that you're in and not fall into the trap of comparing your season to someone else's.⁣⁣⁣⁣

I saw this happen a few days ago when I was working out in the front yard next to my cherry blossom tree.⁣⁣⁣⁣

As I was out there... pumping iron... looking sexy as shit...⁣⁣⁣⁣Someone was walking by and said,⁣⁣⁣⁣

"𝘞𝘰𝘸! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦! 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵?"

⁣⁣⁣⁣Despite feeling OFFENDED that person didn't take the time to appreciate and compliment my amazing... bulging triceps...

I swallowed my pride, smiled back, and told her:

⁣⁣"𝘞𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴."

𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡'𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧.⁣⁣

How many times in your life have you put some effort into the ground and got discouraged... not because it was not producing growth... but because it was not growing as fast as someone else who you saw on Instagram (or another social media platform)?⁣⁣⁣⁣

That's because that is not how nature works.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Many people don't understand that 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀... 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀.⁣⁣

To enjoy the Seasons of harvest (Summer)... you must go through the Seasons of dormant (Winter).

But not all dormant Seasons are unproductive Seasons.

In Winter, the only job is for the ground to rest. To let the nutrients soak in the ground so that nature can do its work.

And the best thing for you to do is to just be patient... be grateful that you are alive, and enjoy the process of slowing down.

Because there is a time, place, and Season for rest... rejuvenation.. reset... and eventually starting something new.

All things that are great have gone through equal parts Winter and equal parts Summer.

That's why it's important to understand our timeline of success.

We all want instant gratification...

But the most dangerous thing we can have is big successes... granted quickly... without the necessary root structure to support it.

Because the secret to sustained success and growth... is rooted in the simple fundamentals.

It is the things that cultivate a good entrepreneur and person...

It is the richness of a person... like their character.. discipline.. patience.. servant-hood..honesty

Most people think they need to learn a new set of beliefs, strategies, and tactics in order to be successful.. but those are not what you need to learn. It is the things you already need to know... but need to be reminded of that are more important.

The things you already know that you need to keep top of mind.. are the more important and are leading indicators of success.

With all that said, here are 3 𝙆𝙚𝙮 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 to help you Manage Your Seasons and Timeline of Success:⁣⁣⁣⁣

#1) Big Things Don’t Spring Up Overnight

Don’t fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others.

What you can see is only 80% of the picture...

The rest is dug deep into the ground.

It’s the byproduct of our integrity and character.

It's the byproduct of doing the right thing over and over again... even if that right thing is costly for 5-6 years.

There is nothing in existence today that is productive... that hasn’t gone through an unproductive season.

There is no person you look up to that is currently experiencing abundance... surplus... constant growth... that has not been moving backward.

Everything that goes through Summers must go through Winters.

If you find yourself in a Season of no harvest (Winter)... Welcome to the Club!

You are simply going through a fruitless Season... that will be followed by a season of great fruit.

#2) Don't Despise Your Small Beginnings

All things that are big once started off small.

Rome wasn't built in a day...

The journey of a thousand steps starts with one...

Even my bulging triceps were once just mini turds dangling from the back of my arm...

If you are starting new or having a fresh start, you are in the same position as Tony Robbins, Oprah, and Elon Musk once were.

It is not fair to you to discredit yourself because you aren’t "Big"

It is not fair to discount your vision because you are "Small"

Small beginnings are a necessary ingredient to anything that grows big.

Don’t hold yourself to a small beginning because you can take pride in it...

And use it to motivate you rather than hinder you.

#3) Enjoying The Process vs Enjoying The Moments

The timeline of your success is dictated by the time spent in your process.

Stop trying to shift/change the process and complain why your trees aren’t growing fast enough

The prize is never the outcome..

It's not about the $100k/months... the Tesla.. or the Boba Fountain you desperately want in your living room...

The prize is the process that you master and the person you become along the way.

Why would you want just one big tree... when you can get the seeds and process to grow as many trees as you can for the rest of your life?

It’s the process that will give you repeated success... over and over again.

Master the process.. and you will always be able to create success for yourself.

AT THE END OF THE DAY.. SHOOT FOR ACTION and be INSPIRED FOR APPLICATION.

Some of you need to be reminded that one bad month doesn’t define you.

That the peak of your identity is not a reflection of your business or income.

See past the outcome you are getting.. and dig deeper into the process.

Because without the roots.. your tree will be blown away from the ground at the first sight of wind.

If you are in the stages of planting and prepping... understand you don't lack self-discipline... time... motivation... etc...

You are simply in a different Season.

Know the season that you are in.
