How to Stop Feeling Like You Are Behind All The Time

How to Stop Feeling Like You Are Behind All The Time
Play the game as if no one is watching.
"Judge each day not by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant." – William A. Ward

The secret to building long-term, sustainable wealth and success falls in your ability to play for the long game.

Want to learn the secret to avoiding impostor syndrome, unhealthy comparison, and feeling like you aren't as far ahead as you should be?

Here it is:

Play the game as if no one is watching.

Great things take time to build over time.

See your content as a way of planting seeds of ideas into the minds of others

See your conversations (DMs) as planting seeds toward new relationships, opportunities, and business

See your experiences today as planting seeds towards creating new skill sets that make you indispensable.

You might not see your results today. But they will come over time. You don't just plant a seed and expect it to grow overnight

Don't expect one day, one week, one month's worth of effort to turn into massive, huge results.

Get your dopamine spike from the PROGRESS, not the end result.

If you are building something, it is far more useful to focus on the work you are doing to produce the result than the result itself.

This is called focusing on LEAD indicators vs LAG indicators.

For example, rather than focusing on LAG indicator of getting $10k month, focus on the activities (LEAD indicators) that get you there

  • Posting once a day
  • 100 Outbound Messages
  • Asking for Referrals or Testimonials
  • Following Up with potential clients

Focus on the daily actions (seeds) that reap the results (harvest)

In almost anything worth having, there exists a long gap between input and outcome.

Slow down.

Be patient.

And allow your efforts to grow deep before it grows tall.

"The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit." – Fabienne Fredrickson
